To use this gourd, i usually use a hand saw. The green stage like this is the easiest to use it in. I saw it in two either vertically or horizontally.
Next i scoop out the insides with a spoon, because it is that soft and easy to do. (Note the insides are not for eating. Although i have read of it being used to make medicinal remedies.)
This is is the time to really clean all the pulp out so that when the shell dries, it is really clean and white.
